The MWA members will assist Operation Clean Stream in the cleanup of the Meramec River on Saturday August 23th. We will clean the section of river from Sappington Bridge put-in to the boat ramp at Meramec State Park. This is a fun family float along with a good way to keep the river clean. Bring trash bags and gloves. All paddle craft are welcome. We will meet at Sappington bridge put-in at 9:00 AM and arrange our shuttles. We should be off the river by 2:00 PM. The Operation Clean Stream people will provide a BBQ at the park pavilion after we get off the river. Call or e-mail Mark Wehking if you plan on attending so we can have a head count for the BBQ. Mark’s e-mail is (email@example.com) and his phone number is 636-391-9753.
To get to the put-in at Sappington Bridge go west on I-44. Take exit #225. Go left over the highway then turn right on the east outer road. Trun Left on highway D.
