inflatable SUP boards for rivers and lakes

Anyone have any experience/interest in these? I saw someone masterfully paddling an SUP at the MWA slalom races but wasn't sure if that was a hard board or inflatable. Was thinking about buying one but would love to demo one first.

Jason Bales. He really worked at it all winter, and is a great paddler anyhow. It is a hard shell boat, not an inflatable. He will be working new schtuff in Colorado soon. FC
