SE Beginner Trip Update
Hello everyone interested in going on the beginner/intermediate trip.

We have now upped the number of beds to 40 for Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights of Memorial Day Weekend. Sorry but all of the two person rooms have been spoken for. Many of you have told me you are going, but as of right now I only have payments for 16 people. If you are planning on going on this trip, please send me your check ASAP. I need your payments by 5/19 at the latest. If we do not have your payment at that time I will be releasing the remaining beds back to NOC. The cost is $17 per night/per person. If you are an ACA member and are arranging your own lodging, I just need your waiver and contact info.

If you are a new boater who is interested in going, this is a great trip to get experience on a variety of rivers in the North Carolina, Tennessee region. We have several advanced boaters who will help make sure you get down the river safely.

You can get me your payment by either bringing it to the meeting tomorrow night (5/8) or mailing your payment to:
Missouri Whitewater Association
Attn: SE Trip Leader
PO Box 3000099
University City, MO 63130

-Garrett Bentley

PS
I will be updating the trip thread under the "Events Discussion" later this week with a list of boaters I have so far as well as a tentative river list.

Rebecca and I are planning to attend and will take care of our own lodging. Do you need our waiver in advance or would it be ok to hand it over in person?

I am going and my 3 kids as well. I will be making my own lodging accomodations. Might show up late on Friday and just run the Nanty on Friday afternoon.

Report on SE trip
I just got home and want to thank Garret for leading this really fun trip. I also want to thank Chris Kelly for leading us on the Chatooga . It was so beautiful and although low water, the drops were more technical in low water( as per the local boaters), and thrilling. The French Broad was also a lot of fun. I heard it is also more challenging in low water than normal flows.I also want to thank all the safety boaters who helped out. It was really worth the trip and hope to make it more often. Great to share it with so many nice people. Only wish it was closer.
