WV/MD late September...
Anyone up for maybe going to WV and MD that weekend and maybe a day or two before? I'd love to hit up the Gauley/UY/Savage/New or whatever WV creek that might be running.

Do you think the lower Gauley could be run by a fairly inexperience boater. I know the upper would be too much.

Lower Gauley
I would say you need to have at least strong class III skills to be safe on the lower Gauley. If you feel pretty comfortable on the Ocoee, you'd be ok. If you've only ran the Saint at like 20 inches and lower, you might want to keep practicing and training for a while.
